DIEHIGH Records has always been one of my favorite labels, representing the future of trap music with artists such as lux.impala, Aztek, Holly, and Chiefs. Yesterday, they returned from a 4-month hiatus with an absolute banger for the masses to enjoy. Wonky synths meets dance floor filth in this monster of a collaboration by LA-based producer sumthin sumthin and Lemay. The first drop of the song provides the classic sumthin sumthin bounce, and layers the perfect context for a build into a furious, high octane second drop with metallic synths reminding you of robotic elephants. Keep an eye out for these rising artists, with their experimental takes on trap receiving support from the likes of graves, Slander, Diplo, and Candyland.
